square bridges
In an Email I was asked about adding square bridges to a '98 Mauser.

Does anyone make them to be welded on or do most smiths make their own?

I'm referring to welding on the rear bridge only!

I've never seen one that was pre-fab'd for welding on. The ones I've seen have all been surface ground and then had a base fabricated and welded on.

Square bridges are definitely not for the "Brownells Cowboys" out there. Thank God there is an incredibly small demand for square bridges and it remains in the ballywick of true custom gunmakers.

I resemble that remark, and prefer "hotdog".
