Marc_Stokeldanyone restocked a Darne?
The 4th stock up in the rotation is a Darne restock. i don't know the Darne grades, but this is a really nice one. But the factory stock would be perfect for a person with a 20" arm length and an 18" neck length. I don't know how they managed to get 3+" of drop out of a 12" length of pull!
Anyway, how complicated is a Darne's metal work? Is it about the same work as restocking a boxlock? I have never seen one "out of the wood." I told the guy I will just have to price it after I take it all apart. He really does not care, as long as the final product looks nice and come closer to fitting him.
Any input on the difficulty of restocking a Danre is much appreciated!

Have you broken down the rifle yet, just taking off the barrels? I could do it to mine and take some pictures if that could help but I suspect if you already have the gun then it wouldn't be advancing scientific knowledge to any great extent. I have never taken off the wood to see what's underneath. Some people asked about Darne's awhile back so here's the link:
