manhassetMauser Experts
came across an old Firearms International catalog 1965. In it beside the FN's and Sako rifles, they advertise a seperate FN Supreme action in the white available threaded for a Springfield barrel item # A340P-S.
Seems kinda odd to have the old mauser specially threaded for an 03/A3 bbl.
Anybody ever run across one of these.
Too much time on my hands during a rainy day.

J.D.SteeleYep, not common but they're out there. Seems that back in the '60s someone like Santa Barbara or Sears once contracted with FN for these, with plans to use surplus 1903 Springfield bbls which at that time cost ~$5 each or less. I recently sold such an action with substituted 1909 Argie bottom metal, it'll make a nice rifle one day.
