Pre-64 Model 70 floorplate variation?

I picked up a 264 mag s/n 488,000 last week. I took it apart to clean it up and noticed that it had a different floorplate than all the other ones I've had. The sides come up, as opposed to being completely flat.

Does this floorplate belong on this rifle?

It could be a post 64 floorplate that someone put on the rifle to clean it up.
