SCHEMATIC NEEDED WIN 42 .410
Hey Guys, does someone out there have a schematic and assembly instructions on the Winchester Model 42 .410 they are willing to share? PM me with details and I really appreciate it!

BuckMT,

I have a schematic from the Encyclopedia of Modern Firearms, but there are no disassembly/assembly instructions.

Isn't the 42 a reduced copy of the 12? It's been years since I had one of them in the shop. Great little gun as I recall. The schematic offered by fyj should help. I have about 6" of "Partly Cloudy" to shovel off my driveway. When I come back in, I will locate some instructions for you if you haven't gotten it solved by then.

AAANNNND... one thing that is important. When you get the side plate off, you will notice there is a large screw that acts as a pivot for the "shell lifter". It is a LEFT HAND thread! DOn't twist it off.

Wow, thanks guys! Yes, please send the schematic (numrich doesn't have one, just parts but no drawings) and any instructions! Jim, thanks even more on the extra info. We owe you one!
