TIG welding on a Remington 700 bolt handle
Has anyone ever had a Remington 700 handle TIG welded on versus the standard silver soldering? Who does a good job of this? terry.berkhouse@umontana.edu

Yes,
A Billingsley and Brownell handle welded on by Tac-Ord in Meridian, ID. (208) 288-1450/51. They mainly just make supressors these days, so I don't know if they are taking in gun smithing at present. Try asking pistol smiths. A lot of them have tig weldes for building up sears and triggers.
Good luck,
JCN

Give Jeff at HD Rifles a call. He does a rock solid repair on Remmy bolt handles.

I agree with handgnr, with Celt (aka Jeff Hicks). You can also try George Gardner at GA Precision. If I recall correctly George is also doing the mod in house.
