cost to thread, chamber, install, and cut the crown for a barrel
what should I look for as a price range to do the above work of a new-made barrel to a Zastava action?

caliber is 9.3mm. x62 or x64 TBD. Bottom metal available is 1909 Argentine. Curious about that as well for fitting and making work.

Thank you.

I've used these guys several times. No complaints. He can give you a good deal on a Douglas or install yours.

I used them to barrel a couple MK-X actions years ago both rifles shoot very well.

$85 to thread chamber and crown a barrel? Cheap!

I might thread it for 85 but that does not include chambering. Those guys must not live indoors or eat meat.

duane thank you for the information regarding the use of a 1909 bm unit with the x64.

if the x64 what become the options for bottom metal? if a x62 then the 1909 is viable? does a new mag box need to be used?

the barrel came from our friend dpcd and is a copy of the Osa Johnson. I suppose for nostalgic purposes the x62 should get the nod! the barrel is gorgeous and i can't wait to have it done. i have had a nice large size oberndorf bolt handle done by Half Moon squirrelled away for some time. scope mounts are still undecided and i have been having the zastava factory stock reworked to function as a template and so far it fits well and is much slimmer.

x62s can go on a standard 98 action like the 1909 Arg with a standard 8mm or 7.65 box and they work fine that way. I know nothing about the x64 cartridge.

I have done a few of the x64's and used the bigger Weibe bottom metal. The geometry is correct and will result in at least 4 down. But... lots of work needs to be done to the action and bolt to get it to feed correctly but when done, it is very nice.
