adam330Determining Scope Height
I have another question pertaining to scopes since you all helped me so much with my last question! I was looking at some ballistics charts and i was wondering how you go about figuring scope height? Thanks again for your help!

WestpacScope height is the distance from the center of the bore to the center of the scope. For ballistics tables you can get close enough using a tape measure. Hold the loose end at approximately the center of the bolt and the other end at the approximate center of the scope tube. That is the scope height.

Normally I do as well. Gives me a good ballpark calculation. If I felt a closer number was critical I'd measure from the stock line at the barrel to half way up the scope or to the ring seam if it was a two piece/
