The so-called safety breech models. This includes the intermediate Yugo's ( M24, 24/47, M48, M48A) and I believe the FN intermediates these were derived from.

The Siamese and any other made for a rimmed cartridge as well.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Was wondering because I came across a Mexican action with a new barrel screwed on it. Was wanting to shoot it before I made any judgments on whether to keep or change out the barrel. I tried a bolt that was supposed to work in it and it came just shy of closing. Any thoughts?

It is hard to say for sure without looking at your barreled action, but I sounds like something I ran into 20 years ago.

I bought a Mexixcan 98 action from a surplus dealer. When it arrived I inspected it and discovered it had the wrong bolt in it. The bolt would cycle and close but the nose of the bolt protruded past the torque ring of the action. The dealer would not take it back. After much searching I could not locate a Mexican 98 bolt and I never found a substitute bolt with the right dimensions.

Luckily several years later the owner of a gunsmithing concern where I worked traded me a Mexican 98 bolt for some work.

Sounds like a Yugo 48 Intermediate bolt in a Mex 1910/36 action. Bolt fits and works in the action but it has to be rebarreled, with the proper work done on the barrel face to accept the slightly longer bolt.

Actually its a 1903 Turk bolt in the Mex action. Its a small ring action with 1933 on the receiver ring.
