M1999 Short Action Mold Update
Hello Everyone,
I received a request to update everyone on the progress on the Short Action molds. We received our first sample from the "bolt" molds today and from our checking their were some "minor" problems with the mold that should be easily fixed. We are supposed to receive the receiver sample within the next week. So far everything is going according to schedule and still expect to start delivery soon.

Thanks Dan, I got your e-mail. With the progress that you've made when is the expected ship date of the actions?

The 5.7 x 28 is a pretty specialized cartridge and has a rim diameter of .310". The smallest action we will be producing will be the mini action and I believe that the smallest bolt face on it will be .378". I am not sure there is a commercial bolt action out there that will accept this cartridge. If I'm wrong someone please tell me.

I can't give you a "set in concrete" date for the delivery of the actions to begin, but I believe that the way things are going right now we may start seeing actions (short and left long) start going out towards the end of June.

Talked to Brian Friday and he said that everything is pretty good on the short action, the problems with the bolt were so minor that it will take little time to correct them, he also stated that he should be ordering the lot of actions this week
