Re: Timney Sportsman vs. Dayton Traister
I have used Dayton Traister cock on opening conversions on several enfields and small ring mausers. For that application, I prefer them. For just using triggers, I prefer the Timney. The only advantage the DT trigger has over the Timney is it is all steel. I have seen several Timney triggers broken out where they are pinned to the action. Care must be taken when installing. Oh yeah, one more advantage the DT has is you don't have to remove as much wood in the stock. It is slimmer built. Rojelio

I've used the Timney on M-70, M-98 and P-17 Enfields.....They're a very fine product.....so good that I've never tried their competition.

Adjust easily....install easily.....No complaints at all!!

One of them now is over 30 years old and still superb.

Timney Sportsman vs Dayton Traister MkII

How do these two triggers compare? Installation, quality of trigger pull, sevice life, workman ship, etc.?
