Lord FrithMagnum follower dimensions. Any change from the original Mauser? Help
What measurement differences would there be between a standard 98 Mauser follower and one made for a, let's say, 375 H&H cartridge? Would it be longer? wider at the front or rear? thicker or thinner? I have only 2 magnums in the house and believe one uses a standard '03 follower and one is a PF Winchester. I wouldn't trust either one to be an accurate depiction of a true magnum follower. Maybe there is no such thing. I just do not know. Any one with a mag follower and a micrometer willing to shoot me some measurements? Enlighten please.
Much appreciated,
Stephen

Some commercial Mauser clones used a standard size 98 follower(FN and Mark-X I believe). But these actions used a more-or-less standard box that was opened to the front(and a bit to the rear).
Correctly dimensioned magnum boxes(Blackburn, PME and PMS) are wider and therefore require a wider follower. They are normally longer also.
