Uhh... damn!

Now that's a work of art! How is wish it were my work of art. Things like this inspire me to work even harder to get out of school and get that good job so I can afford 'em!

Fine rifle. Someone will end up with a deal. No reserve and $1000 opening bid. I'll bet it don't even get past $12OO.

Roger,

That is a beautiful rifle, unfortunately out of my range.

blue, thanks for the heads up on this one. I know Ron and just might have to give him a call and go take a looky at this one.
Looking at Roger's work in person is hard to describe and could become very costly

I plan to have some engraving done by him as soon as I decide what I really want for a keeper rifle

I believe there is a reserve....

The main problem with this rifle, of course, is that it is a .375 Whelen, which a lot of people think has heaadspace problems (whether it really does nor not), and is also a wildcat. Naturally, that's no problem for us on this board.

There's more than $1200 worth of engraving on this gun.

Perhaps it could be rechambered to H&H and express sights added ?

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if you're correct. The rifle is beautiful, and easily worth the money, but has anybody noticed how little actually SELLS on those auction sites? There will be dozens of nice rifles, with no bids...

I hope somebody proves me wrong on this one, but in general I don't have much faith in the firearms auction sites.

Yep, a more "mainstream" caliber & I'd be on it. Just can't see much use for a 375 Whelen unfortunately.

Otherwise, beautiful rifle!

Mr Chic, I can be bought off, but I'm not cheap by a long shot

Roger,
Is it drilled and taped for scope bases? If I can talk Jimmy out of ignoring it, lol.
