I can be heavy handed at times and need to disassemble the bolt release on my banner mauser. Any help or photo references would be appreciated.

I assume that you are referencing the ejector box located on the left side of the rear bridge...Unscrew the screw that holds it on and remove the screw and the ejector box from the rifle. Then remove the Ejector from the box...Then while holding the box with the inside aspect of it against a non-marring surface tap the ejector spring FORWARD with a nylon or brass drift and remove from the box.

Easy as pie if you just know the tricks! Make sure you pick up a copy of Kuhnhausens book THE MAUSER BOLT ACTIONS M91 THROUGH M98 A SHOP MANUAL. If you are going to work on Mausers you NEED this book.
