MingbogoBrownells has some lever action stocks and forearms from Precision Gun Works that might fit your 71. Also do a search on Gunbroker or Auction Arms, as I have seen some take off stocks and forearms for sale before. Good luck.

Recoil RobPersonally I will never use Henry at Great American Gunstock again I tried him once and got screwed. I'm not the only one that had problems, here's a link to a thread from the double gun board.
Repalcement gunstock thread I'm sure many have gotten satisfactory results from him but I didn't and he didn't make it right.

hm2i would avoid henry like a disease. not only have i been ripped off but several of my customers have told me the same type stories. there are others out there and it is easier if you still have the old one to use as a pattern.

jeffeossoSorry you had a bad dealing with him.
I've foudn him to be upright, reasonable, fair, and cost effective...
If you had asked for a replacement, perhaps it would have broken even.. perhaps not
