gasgunnerNice rifle. Is that the one you picked up at Tulsa a few years ago? Who built it?

lb404That is the one I got in Tulsa and made by Clayton Nelson. This one had feeding problems from a too strong magazine spring. I sent it away for a couple of years to be worked on and it has recently come home to roost. I am loading for it tonight and should have a range report in a day or so if the prego's will leave me alone this weekend.

What bottom metal is on there? Looks almost like Blackburn but Blackburn uses a straddle floorplate.
Nice wood.

Nice wood.
I am pretty sure it was original Orberndorf bottom metal. The barrelled action was just restocked. I am surprised no one mentioned the lack of thumb cut on this action. What do you think?

Fantastic rifle......
Would it be possible with a few close-up photos over the action?
Cheers

Don EdwardsThat's gorgeous...!!!
I've been wanting a 250 Sav. bolt rifle for some time. Being left-handed has saved me a LOT of money over the years..!!!
Good luck with your new rifle.
Cheers,
Don

ireload2The rifle is wonderful... sure makes that scope look double ugly. It would look nicer with a 7/8' Leupold Alaskan 2.5X.
But to get the most out of the rifle you need to use it a lot and take care of it. In 20 years it should have little blue and wood finish left but still be very clean.
