FAST996Pre64 mdl 70 custom value
Hello,
I have a pre64 mdl 70 custom that I would like to get a idea of what a ballpark value would be.
The action is a long action, chambered in 375 H&H, with a 1952 manufacture. it has been rebarreled (23 inch),with a english walnut stock and checkered in a point pattern. The rifle bolt has been jeweled and overall the rifle is about 99 pct. the scope is a 8X with 2 piece mounts. Looks to be very well done.
Any ideas? thanks.
How about 1500.00?

DeweyIt will depend on your region and who made the rifle, however, that seems to have standard factory bottom metal and no special accessories. If, it is by a "no-name" guy, I would estimate around 2K and if it has provenance from a "big-name" builder, closer to 4K.
It is a nice looking piece, but, a bit "dated" in style, no irons and an older and not very valuable scope/mounts. These all affect the selling price and you should take it to local "highend" stores and get some estimates.

airgun1When you say long action do you mean originally an H&H length action?

airgun1The action alone is worth a grand. It is a nice looking gun and appears to be good workmanship. $2,500.00 mimimum.
