Arizona has no shortage of gunsmiths in and around the Phoenix/Prescott areas.

Depending on what you are looking to have done you might call either McMillan or Robar and ask them. Both these companies are so busy that they do not mind recommending other good smiths in the area...some of whom used to work for them and are now in business for themselves.

I use Danny Pedersen in Prescott, but he is close to a year out. I sent him a bbl/action for reboring/rechambering the first of Feb, him knowing I needed the rifle for Africa the end September. Got it back last week. This is the second rifle he has done for me, both 9.3x64, and I have been well pleased.

From an ex-Yuma resident (Wellton actually) I suppose you know about Mike Scherz of Gila River Gunsmiths? He's there in Yuma. He works out of Mesa Sport Shop on 4th Ave.

If you live in the Phoenix area, you'd have to go a long way to find a more competent 'smith than Scott Medesha out in Apache Juction. He's in the phone book....
