lindy2.375 Ruger on Model 70
Does anything at all have to be done to the action itself when switching out a .338 Win Mag to a .375 Ruger on a Model 70 Classic Action?

SnellstromI think Too Many Tools did one for my buddy Taylorce who also posts on AR.
Not sure what it took to make it feed but ask Too Many Tools.

Yes I have one, no action mods to make it feed that I know of. However, I did have to tweak the magazine box a bit to keep the cartridge from jumping out of the magazine. I'd contact TMT or any other smith who has built a .375 Ruger on a M70 action, it's far cheaper than making the H&H work in the M70 which is what I wanted.

I'm still tweaking this one trying to reshape the stock when I get some time to spend on it.

would there be any difference between yours, which is push feed, and a controlled round feed one such as the one I have.
What was done to tweak your magazine. Did you have to install any new parts.
Maybe I missed it. what barrel did you use.

taylorce1My tweak was to bend the magazine box to where it would hold the rounds down instead of having them spring out of the mag while working the bolt. No new parts were ever needed. I'm no smith, but I'd imagine your CRF bolt wouldn't have any problems with the case. I used an Adams & Bennett barrel which will hold under 1" for three if I'm doing my part. It does foul quickly and that's the only complaint I have about the barrel.

That may not be the fanciest, but its a nice rig, especially if it will hold under an inch for 3.
