QRW rear base overhang on .375 Model 70
Does the Leupold QRW base overhang the ejection port on the .375 length Model 70?

I like the standard QR system better, but the rear base partially blocks the ejection port, which makes it difficult to load quickly.

I do but do not have the bases mentioned. Still checking though.

No they do not. At least on the Pre-64 M70 300H&H and 375H&H that I have. I also have them on most of my standard Pre-64 M70's and they do not hang over those either. I have a set on a modern M70 in 300 Win Mag and they don't overhang. I know the rear base on the newer M70 Safari Express is different, but the front bases are the same. I don't think any of the QRW bases will overhang.

By the way, the bases are cheap, so just buy a pair and see what happens. If you don't like them, you can always sell them to some sucker on the AR classifieds Big Grin

The QR will overhang on a new M70. It doesn't seem to cause a problem though.
