i know this is probably too simple for most of you but i need help..i have a 1st year remington 700ks in 280.. last year i lost the bolt and remington's custom shop replaced it since i have had trigger problems.. when the rifle is cold or unloaded the trigger is great but after it has been fired about 6 times it gets creep.. my gunsmith has replaced the trigger assembly 3 times and has completely torn down the assembly and replaced all springs, the trigger that is currently on it comes off a custom m700 that i have used for 10 years with out a problem.. i think it is something in the firing assembly but my gunsmith wants to put a shilen trigger on it.. which i don't mind but i don't think will solve the problem..

any suggestions would be appreciated

Well, if they've swapped the trigger assy. and the problem always returns, then it's pretty much impossible that it's going to be the trigger itself... so I think you're on the right track. That being said, the Shilen triggers are very nice and easy to adjust. My father and I have several of them and love'em.

Have you tore down the new bolt and degreased it? This is generally a problem that shows up as a misfire when in extreme cold climates due to the grease gelling. Just a thought, you never know it may be something simple like that. The easy fixes sometimes are complicated. Hope I have helped. Just seems if you have made several trigger swaps it would be the next thing in the chain of mechanical things.
