JudgeGStupid Sako Question?
I ought to know, but is a Sako AV action controlled feed or not? Does it have a claw type extractor? And finally, does the safety do more than just disengage the sear or does it take the fireing pin out of battery?

JudgeGI guess it's a Remington 700 in drag, huh?
Thanks, Kurt.
Keep the faith!

KurtCActually, they are nice rifles if CRF is not a requirement. I've had about 5 or 6 AV mannlichers in .375 H&H that were of excellent quality and were well designed. Remington doesn't even come close (to anything).

<DFC>The Sako's of old were quite nice and well worth the money. Unfortunately the new model 75 is a total POS, in most Sako lovers minds, especially mine. Beretta now owns Sako, that will be the downfall of a very fine company. It hurts my heart to see the cheap wood they put on the 75, what a nice stock design brought to its knees with NO grain wood, Damn thing looks like plastic.

dantecI agree that the new owner of SAKO , Beretta is not a sucess I have several old Sako ( AII , AIII and the very good L61R , 491 , 591 action )
only problem with SAKO is spare parts , very very long delivery time and SAKO seem interesting only by USA market but SAKO stay very good and very well rifles , the new 75 have nothing interesting for me and I far prefer the two lugs SAKO action
to purchase a SAKO 75 I preferpurchase two TIKKA rifle for the same price
bst imrovement you can make on a REMINGTON action is to fit a SAKO extractor .
good shooting
