Falling Block Works Rifles???
Anyone know anything about these? Quality, when made, where, etc? I can't find any current references to them so assume that they are no longer in business, but don't know that either. Thanks CAT

Falling Block Works actions were badly cast and badly designed, if the purpose was to build a pretty rifle.

They found favor with those wanting to build single shots because they were affordable and adequate for the job.......and available.

They, in MY opinion, are are strong, reliable, and ugly.

Get your self a copy of "Mr Single Shot's Gunsmithing Idea Book" by Frank DeHass.

He built rifles on three differant FBW actions and writes a how to article with each one.

He also gives an overview and description of each action.
