Speed Strip take down onversion for Ruger Mk II pistol

Have any of you ever used the Majestic Arms Speed Strip take down conversion for the Ruger Mark II? I have a Mark II and dread cleaning the thing because take down and re-asembly are such a pain with it. I always have a heck of a time getting the bar that connects to the take down lever to be in the right spot.

A friend recomended the conversion to me because he saw it on a pistol at the range last week. Taht guy swore by it, but I just dont know that much about them.

Funny you should ask...I just ordered one.

I have an old Mk II Bull Barrel and I agree, they are a royal pain in the ass to field strip and put back together.

I love the pistol though. Canâ€™t remember ever having it jam...and the sucker is deadly accurate.

I should have the kit on Monday and Iâ€™ll let you know how well it works. ANYTHING would be an improvement!

i have installed six or seven of them for customers. have it on both of my own pistols also. the nice thing about it is that the upper doesn't have to be removed at each cleaning which i believes doesn't promote additional looseness at that joint.
this is a great design that ruger should pay the man for and install at the factory. it won't happen due to " it wasn't developed here " thinking. really not hard to install either.
