MasteriflemanConversion of a Model 70 from PF to CRF
Two years ago, I contacted Dennis Olson about making a Model 70 I had rebarreled from .300 WinMag to .404 Jeffrey feed properly. As it was a push feed action, he said he wouldn't work on it. I asked him what my alternatives were and he said, "buy a CRF action or I'll convert yours to a CFR". I was quite intrigued as to how he would go about this but I told him to go ahead as it would cost about the same to purchase one as it was to convert this one. I guess I really wnated to see it done. Anyway, here is the thread. So help me, I tried to follow the directions to post pictures but, it has defeated me. Anyone interested enough to post them for me, I would really appreciate it.

MasteriflemanI'll try again;
Bolt open (pictures 1 & 2)
Bolt face after cutting the original off and either welding or brazing the new one on, I think, at the extractor collar groove.
Bolt closed
The cut for the new ejector
The rifle feeds beautifully and now I have get on with adding the barrel band swivel hanger, NECG sites as well as a new stock. I'll post the results when I'm finished.
Posting pictures is pretty simple when you know what to do. Thanks to Charles_Helm!
