RalphieSome results of a .300 wby Echol's Legend
I thought you guys might be interested in some details about an Echol's Legend Long range that I shot today. I work part-time for D'arcy while I'm attending Graduate School here at USU. Let me say however, that I have no formal machinist or gunsmithing education. I do a lot of polishing, assembling, shooting, etc. for D'arcy.
This afternoon D'arcy had me go to the range and test some loads in a .300 wby (short throat) long range legend. The scope was the customer's Leupold 4.5-14. I shot loads (that I threw together right before going to the range)consisting of 3 different bullets and two powders, with varying charge weights. The average for ALL groups was .482. My smallest group was .163 and the largest was .725.
Thanks for letting me add to the discussion,
Bart

DavidCThats amazing!
I wish I could make it to the SCI show next year. I have wanted to meet D'Arcy and get a look at the rifles he produces for some time.
I think I could make room in the gun closet for a Legend or two.....
Regards,
Dave
