Here is a rather nice $4200 small ring Swede done up by Roger Biesen as shown on his Web site. The ad states that it is converted to cock on opening using the Dayton Traister system.

Has anyone here converted their Swede using that system, and if so, how does it work for you?

I have the cock on open kit but haven't installed it yet. Requires cutting a vee notch into the back of the bolt to cam the cocking piece.

About 10 or maybe 15 years ago I installed one. Recollection is that it was mostly work with a small grinder and stones. Worked just like it was supposed to. Don't recall it being particularly difficult but one of those "work slow, don't rush it" jobs. Maybe it's done in a more precise manner on a full custom rifle
Traded the rifle to a friend who used it, passed it to his son who now lets his son use it.
