Marc_StokeldAnyone wear HiDefSpex?
Does anyone here wear HiDefSpex glasses? I am thinking about getting some, but DAMN are they expensive!!! Looking for any feedback I can get before dropping that kind of coin on glasses.
I am thinking of getting the Panthers or the Sebrings.

WestpacThe ad says: "The best shooting glasses not only provide a high level of protection but also greatly enhance accuracy and clarity of vision." At a price of about $570, you better get ALL that, and in writing.
Frankly, if you're looking for protection, accuracy and clarity, I would recommend putting that money into some condoms, some durable contact lenses, and a decent crown and trigger job!

WestpacYou should have seen my first draft. I'm sometimes a little dyslexic so at first I thought the question was "Anyone wear Spandex?"

I wear clear prescription safety glasses when I shoot. They're not scratched up yet.
I would imagine it to be kinda hard to get much more clarity and accuracy out of eye wear than the proper prescription and clear lenses.

CMcDermottHere's a
eye protection article link that contains lots of good information as far as different materials and what protection level is achieved by different standards like Z87.1

Toomany Toolsquote:

Maybe we should make these mandatory for politicians?

And journalists?

Recoil RobMark,
I told you how much I liked my pair on the doublegun forum, but I had no idea the price had doubled on them. I paid about $235 three years ago for non-Rx.
Must be some petroleum products in there.....

fireball168I found a optometrist that wasn't in a shopping mall.
Told him I was having problems focusing on the front sight, but otherwise my vision was pretty good, but getting a little worse every year.
He told me to either take some measurements on how far it was away from my eye, or just bring the rifle in.
I took some measurements, found the average distance to the front sight.
Spent about 45 minutes in the chair looking through the different glass, never more than a few minutes in the chair at a time to let my eyes settle down.
While I only intended to wear these glasses while shooting, I don't take them off anymore. He corrected me back to 20/15, I feel like I'm 20 years younger.
Find a good optometrist that will listen to you, buy an hour of their time and do it right.
