i am looking for blued mil spec sights for a 1911. I have had no luck anywhere. Any ideas???

Perhaps Springfield Armory, Les Baer, Rock River Arms or one of the smaller custom gunsmiths. All are in Illinois. If they do not have the sights they are knowledgable as to who does.
Have you tried Gun Parts Corp.? Kahr Arms makes a mil-spec 1911a1. Clark Custom Guns in Princeton, Louisiana has probably taken a barrel full off as they replaced sights since 1950.
