1911 How to Properly Service

First off, happy 100th birthday to the finest handgun ever - the 1911! Can someone recommend a book regarding the proper maintenance/cleaning procedures for this great weapon. Thanks

There are quite a few, it is hard to go wrong buying Jerry Kuhnhausens book IMHO.

In addition, you can find the PDF version of the GI manuals online for free, here is one example I just googled up:

for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside
