Re: Bell & Carlson Medalist stock
I guess nobody knows anything about B&C Medalist Stocks. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree. Roger

Rojelio,

I have a Medalist on my .375Ultra. I really like mine. It only needed minor fitting. It is my most used rifle and I've had no problems with it at all. I will be putting a Medalist on a "project in the works(.350Rem)" in the near future. The stock fits me well and has a very solid feel.

Can you tell me more about what minor fitting meant?

Rojelio,

The "fitting" was the area around the bolt release mechanism
being very tight, causing the release to bind. I had the gun in for a trigger job and the smith took care of it. It was nothing you couldn't have handled yourself. I'm very pleased with my Medalist. Where are you in N.C.?

I believe the Medalists are what Weatherby is stocking their lightweight rifles with these days. Don't feel too bad, but I haven't had a chance to shoot one yet.

The Triangle area. Grew up near Winston Salem and still go back there pretty often though.

Crazyquik,

I grew up in Raleigh, before there was a "Triangle." I've been visiting in NC for a while and things sure have changed in the last 10 years. Sorry I got your name wrong in the previous post; not paying attention I reckon...........need to get back to AK
