reindeerThey are made to a very high standard and deliver excellent accuracy.
Together with Lothar Walther, these German made barrels can compete with any custom barrel, except maybe a few high end brands such as Hart and Border.
Provided that they are installed propely on a quality, well bedded action, with a handload, tuned to the barrel, they will deliver sub-moa accuracy, 1/5 MOA and less not being uncommon.
If your choice is stainless, go for Lothar Walter; the kind of steel they use for their SS barrels is quite different and much better than the steel used for factory rifles.
yes,
Well in this case also, Yes to Heym barrels IMO.
I know German gunsmiths who have installed Heym barrels on customer's rifles and know hunters & shooters that have specifically ordered Heym barrels to be installed on their rifles. I also have a .223 Remington Heym rifle.
In all three of the cases above the rifles I've seen, used and have heard from others about with Heym barrels - I've not heard any negative comments. As a personal attest mine is super accurate and I've been shootng it for over 23 years - still shots sub-MOA groups with factory ammo and my reloads.

new_guyFWIW, Martini & Hagn use HEYM barrels with regularity.
Here's a 375 that they note as having a HEYM barrel.

army aviatorWhen I visited the factory about 20+ years ago they had a hammer with 140 tons of pressure to make their barrels. The barrel blanks started as a piece of steel about 12 to 16" long and nearly 2" in diameter. They were also making axle parts for BMW's

Did you mean
F. W. Heym barrels? IMO, they are excellent, just as are all the other gun parts they make and assemble!
