DougH9Poor man's sight pusher
I needed to change the front sight on a Willians ramp (tight fit), and here is what I did: I took three of those little promotioal packet screwdrivers, and removed the magnets on the end. I stuck two magnets to the ramp on one side, and one to the blade on the other side. I put it in my mini bench vise and pressed it out. To install, I started the sight, pressed it in 95% of the way with protected jaws, then used the mmagnets to make it flush.

That is a great trick. Thanks for sharing it with us. The concept will also come in handy the next time I'm trying to juggle three or four little parts while trying to get them into the bench vise.

308SakoThe truly great ideas really are that simple after someone explains how it would work... This would be one of those times.
