GRACO CORP - ADJUSTABLE COMB HARDWARE
Anyone know how much height adjustment you can get with these? On brownells site it only specs the size of the plate. Looking to get enough ajustment to go from a field barrel to a cantlever scope barrel on a shotgun. Right now I swap buttstocks, kind of a pain.

the upright posts are .820 and the collars on the comb tighten against them so I assume somewhere around a half inch of elevation.

That system is junk IMO. Go to McMillan's web site and look at theirs, so much better.

Thanks Jim, looking at the pictures and also one from Ireland that is selling on ebay they kind of looked that way. Actually looked easy enough to just make from scratch if I wemt with that system. I'll check out McMillan

They look alot stronger. Wonder how that would be it install? Anyone have any good pics of that system. Looks like a plate with guide rods and threaded post. Closer to the this one but with a center adjuster. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121097....l2649#ht_386wt_1170

I think the most elegant solution is the thumb wheel adjustment system. Here are a couple links that show the parts and installed in a stock. This is one of the more expensive ones, but you won't find better quality. Easy to make from scratch if you are so inclined and installation is pretty straight forward.
