kacolebuilding a bipod
I don't know if this should go here but I didn't know exactly where to put it. I am wanting to build a super wide bipod to go on a Custom Remington 700. It will probably look a lot like the one in this video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ruX32JxVCY i've got a water Jet machine to use to cut this thing out what I'm having trouble figuring out is how to mount it to a swivel stud. If anybody has any insight on how this could be done it would be great. I have a full machine shop that I can use. or maybe I can just buy an adapter.

kcstottWhy use a sling swivel?? If you're building it, build it custom.
I'd turn a insert made of stainless steel drill and tap the center and glass it to the stock flush mount. You could even turn a shoulder on it and press it in from the barrel channel
Then under your rest use a big thumb wheel or hand wheel. 1/4 28 threads would do fine.
Tighten it up it pulls down on the stock clamps up tight good to go
