Ruger 77 synthetic question

Ruger 77 synthetic question
Does the old-style Ruger synthetic stock, the one with the large "Ruger" logo across the butt and "checkering" inserts at the wrist and forearm, fit 77's with tang safeties?

Greatly appreciated; so what I'm reading is the old style synthetic fit the Mark II 77's, and you adapted that to fit an early tang safety 77 successfully.

Love my one 77. It is the most accurate small contour barrelled rifle I have ever had--in '06 of course.

This will be a 7x57 or a 7 mag- I'm leaning towards the magnum.

Is bedding in this stock a realistic option? I ask because what I want to assemble is a utility hunting rifle, a "one gun battery" that will get kicked around some.

I acquired a zytel skeleton stock today.

I figure I'll install QD swivels on it, and get kooky with some desert tan, dark earth, and OD Krylon.

What would be a good product to degrease with?
