SxS shotgun conversion to Double Rifle??
Have New CZ Classic SxS Hammer Gun in 12ga. and curious if there are reputable 'smiths that do conversions to rifle calibers/rimmed as in 45/70, 30/40Krag, 348Win., 405Win.,etc.?? Understand such a project would not be low in cost, but just thinking out loud so to speak.
All feedback appreciated.

All things considered, you can get into a double for about three grand without the PITA factor.

tin can,
Thanks for the sound advise. Read about such conversions and they seem to work OK, but the cost to do so exceeds what you suggest.

I'd consider it for a black powder cartridge, but not for a "modern" smokeless cartridge.

The "cheapest" solution, often seen, is to "sleeve" the stub of the barrels with a rifled liner and then chamber it.

The expensive work is in the breech stub. If you "sleeve" that, at least, is already done for you!

However they ALWAYS pretty much look like what they are...sleeved shot guns!

Baikal mp221 is cheaper than a conversion.

It won't fit nor feel right with a shotgun stock on it either. Two different animals
