JBrownBecause of its history and the flawless workmanship I voted to leave it as-is. Having said that, I think the white spacers are horrid(i hate all white-line spacers and those are like white-line spacers on steroids).
As I said, I do admire your work.
I would have some sort of leather cover made for the butt.

wildcat junkieI tghink I'll go ahead & finish it as is. It would be nice if the white toned down to an ivory hue.
The water based stain I use doesn't penetrate the plastic though.
