hard luckNeed a gunsmith !
I have a Winchester 88 that doesn't throw out cases very well. I also have a beautiful Win. 100 that shoots great BUT it doesn"t eject cases at all. However you can work the bolt by hand and it ejects. Iv'e had both rifles to 3 different gunsmiths and they still don"t work ! Do you know of anyone who is experienced with these rifles that can get them to working right.
Ive spent a lot of money and time trying to get then right now I'm determined to get them right no matter what !

merlinroncommon problem with both guns and one of the reasons they aren't very popular anymore. you might not find anyone who wants to touch it. IIRC, there was a recall on those rifles many years ago for that problem. i don't know if it would help to contact winchester about it any more, but it can't hurt to try.

Uh, no offense but where would you find them? Isn't Winchester - the company that made these rifles at least - defunct? Sure the name lives on associated with some of the former designs but I doubt anybody is around to stand behind these. Something to think about in the event we loose the American auto industry!
Hard luck, your location may help get some recomendations of qualified smiths.

I would disagree with this. There are still smiths out there who like to work on these old rifles. You might contact Delta Gun Works. I can't remember the name of the gunsmith who runs the place, but I had him work on an 88 of mine and he did good work.
