New Gun I just got.
My wife handed me a new rifle last night.

Seems the local store here had a 20% off everything sale, so she asked them which one I would choose?

She got me a M 70 Winchester Black Shadow in a 300 Win Mag. 26" Matte barrel.

Ugly as a canoe paddle, just the way I like them.

A Matte Leupold on it and I am set to hunt.

Terry,
Sounds like you married a winner.
I know the feeling. Three years ago my wife conspired with my gunsmith and presented me with the Lee Aniversary Kit. Evidently he warned her where this shooting/reloading hobby could go. She got the kit anyway. I was left speechless. Been reloading ever since with her blessing.

Looks like you have your work cut out for you at christmas-time

i got one! actually both a great Wife and a Winchester black shadow 300win mag.
shoots really well after i replaced the stock with a glass bedded Boyds lam. and put a 4-16x40 Burris on it. killed a super nice 12 point whitetail with it this year. mine likes the 180gr SSTs and 200gr Partions with H1000 powder.

I have got the rifle ready to go and have a Var II 3-9 Matte scope on it. Nice and ugly.

Hope to get out with it Saturday to try it, and if happy, I'll take it with me Monday on a Deer hunt.

I'll keep you all informed.

Oh, my wife has no sisters, but there is a line forming to marry here after I pass on to the big range in the sky.

But I warn you, the line is long.
