BradNew Kimber Model 8400 For WSM's...
Here's the link for a look...
http://www.shortmags.org/shortmags/ref_data/Rifles2003.htmScroll to the bottom of the page... the Kimber's are there. This action has been designed exclusively for the WSM's. I like the "8400 Montana" (well named)... at 6lb's 2 oz's.
I expect the Shot Show will reveal more...

Savage99I got excited a month ago about a Kimber 84M in .358 Win and I called them and left a message and sent them an email. They never answered.
Since then I have glommed onto the M1999. Such is my fleeting heart.

B BGod only knows when we'll see it on the market. Kimber has cataloged their M84 in .260 for 2 years at least, anyone ever see one on a shelf? For the first year they only made the .308. Then last year they started to ship .243s too. They cataloged their Augusta O/U last year when they hadn't imported any. Anyone seen one of these either? Maybe next year we'll see the 8400. They are way behind with their M84 orders, kind of wonder why they are introducing the 8400. Don't be in too much of a hurry for one.

Ol` JoeBB, I hate to admit it but I`ve had a M84M in 260 Rem since early Dec. They are out but, I`m not sure in what numbers. I ordered mine in Jan. of 2001 so I will admit it`s not like they had the rifle in the pipe line when they started advertising them.
The rifle isn`t bad, GREAT trigger, nice wood, good metal to wood fit for a factory job, matte finish that I can live with but not like a nice blue job. My only beef is the action is a bit rough, I`m hopeing it will smooth out with some use.

Kyler HamannI've had a couple clients that had M84's on order for almost a year. The only caliber either could get was .308 and neither of them would shoot a 3-shot group inside a silver dollar at 100 yards with any load.
The fit and finish is great for the price. They're light and handle really well, but for the wait and inaccuracy I think I'll look elsewhere for now.

<HBH>I bought my daughter a 84M in 243 last March. Although we have not fed it any handloads it will consistantly hold 1" - 11/2" with the Win. factory, and that is with her shooting it. I needed to change the LOP (13 3/4" from factory) for her, but it has really fit the bill, and she took her first buck with it this last season. I wish it did have a 3 position safety rather than the 2, but it looks like Kimber has that change for this offering. In addition I dont like the follower(plastic), but overall I think it to be a lot of rifle for the money. You be knocking on the door of 3-4 times the money to do much better in a lightweight.
I look forward to seeing these new Kimbers.
Many Thanks
