Comeback for the Mark X?
I heard a rumor at the range the other day that Yugoslav Mark X rifles will once again be imported to the U.S. starting next month--anyone else heard anything about this?

Hope they offer them as barreled actions, as Interarms used to do. Supposedly stainless will be offered as well.

Which would you choose--the CZ 550 or the Mark X action?

I've heard the same thing. I heard they would be marketed under the Charles Daly name. I've never used a CZ but, had great luck with the Mark X

I sent an email to KBI yesterday asking about them bringing back the MarkX and here is their reply.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Yes, we will be bringing these rifles in mid to late September. Retail pricing ranges from $419.00 (matte blue synthetic) to $659.00 (hi-polish walnut).

We will be updating our website with more information soon. We are at www.charlesdaly.com.

Sincerely,

This is good news--I am thinking that if they are the same quality as the old Mark X I would favor these over the CZ due to the variety of aftermarket stocks, etc. available.

Also, for anyone who was wondering re. my earlier post on trigger adjustment, it turns out to be pretty easy--Kuhnhausen's Mauser shop manual and De Haas's "Bolt Action Rifles" both describe procedures for doing it. Best way seems to be using the amount of adjustment that De Haas specifies, but do the procedure in the order Kuhnhausen describes!
