Ruger No. 3 to 300 H&H
I have a Ruger No. 3 chambered in 30-40 Krag.

Can I just use a chamber reamer to make it a 300 H&H? Can it be chambered on the action using a long pilot or something?

Will the .013" difference in rim diameters give give me any issues?

I think you would be better off selling the N0.3 and getting something else in 300 H&H.

I don't recommend cutting that much chamber by hand; too much danger of making it whopper jawed. But it is "possible", and slow.
Pull the barrel and do it right, set up in the lathe.
Rim diameter cut is not important. that is where the belt will be.
But, why do you want this; it will be a flame thrower.

30-40 in a #3 is a rare bird. another suggestion to sell it and buy another gun. There are factory chambered 300 HH Ruger #1's around.

Yeah, probably a silly idea.
