Winchester Model 12 and Browning Barrels Interchageable?
I have a Winchester Model 12 in 20 gauge. I'm wondering if the barrels made for the Browning reproduction Model 12 can be used on my Winchester without modification?

Same question for the reproduction Model 42 .410.

Thanks, guys!

Stonecreek,

When the answerman axes the question, we're lost!

Best regards, Bill

Bill, lost is a state of mind. If you're too ignorant to realize you're lost, then you're just as well off as if you know where you are -- that's my status much of the time.

Anyway, some of you Model 12 boys can surely answer this question for me, as I was about to spend some money, a thought that sobered me enough to realize that I could be lost.

Bill, thanks, but all I can say is that if you're following me, then you're likely lost!

Doesn't anybody know if that new Browning barrel is going to fit my old Winchester before I plunk down the money to find out the hard way?
