Thinkin' about bluing mount bases. How do you card the counter bored areas for rust bluing or DICROPAN IM bluing? Do you even worry about it?

Could Nitre blue them as well, but the color would not match.

I just do the best I can with degreased steel wool. Pipe cleaners work pretty good ,too.
