M70 .375 H&H Classic Stainless in a -'06 Supergrade stock?
Anyone know for sure if it will fit? Or will it fit with minimal inletting?
I prefer wood to plastic and this is a project I'd prefer not to get involved with unless I know there's a good chance of success.

It'll fit but the barrel channel will need to be opened up, the .375 barrel is fatter. The bottom metal will also be inletted a bit differently, the easiest way to deal with it would be to buy a one piece stainless bottom metal setup from williams. I believe they make the one piece used with the supergrade so their stainless version should be a perfect fit. Otherwise be prepared to do some extra inletting to get the two piece bottom metal to fit, and I think there'll be some gaps in a couple of places.

ScottW,

In addition to what boltman said you will also have to add two cross bolts to try and prevent the stock from splitting as well as a good glass bedding job. Even with the two cross bolts and bedding it may be a little chancy because the stock is thinner through the action area compaired to the correct big bore stocks.

Good luck,
