Does anyone know offhand the max OAL that will fit in a standard Czech VZ 24 action? I'm searching for a medium bore cartridge to have chambered in a new custom. The light rifle is going to be a .275 Rigby, sounds very proper even though it's actually a 7 x 57. What I need now is to find what cartridges will fit in the action without too much work.

The 7x57 should just drop right on in there since the VZ was made for the 8x57. No work required.

3.25" + a little, 3.34 as a 30-06, without a realy mods, 3.10 if the mag is short. But, you can put anthing based off the "short mag" or 30-06 in them.
