<Cobalt>.458 Win Mag to Lott
Will I run into any problems down the road shooting win mags in a lott chamber? Thanks, Cobalt
Yep,
The 458 Win.Mag. should be an emergency only load in the Lott. A steady diet of the shorter case in the longer chamber will foul, erode and roughen the end of the Lott chamber, as with throat erosion, and could lead to sticky extraction.
How many rounds to cause this? Probably quite a few, but best avoided anyway.

<Cobalt>Thanks Ron,
I just purchased a M-70 Super Express in .458 from a local pawn shop. The gun is like new but probably several years old. The front sling swivel is a block fixed to the bottom of the bbl and the recoil pad is the traditional red Winchester variety. I think I will leave it a .458 as I already have a .460 on a 602. Thanks again, Bob
