As I said, I'll ask. Maybe he did put out enough effort to make it work. I'd start with a CZ!

It is my understanding tht these double square bridge magnum mausers are Korean, and were used by Butch Searcy on his big bores. Are they a good starting point for a big bore rifle i.e. 416 Rigby. Or do you just suck it up and pay $2500 for either a Dakota or "new" imported d.s. bridge magnum mauser action.

And no I have absolutely no interest in CZs.

I am building a rifle on a BBK 01 right now. THe basic action is the same as the BBK 02 and the CZ-only difference is the CZZ has a few differetn cuts milled in it and those terrible metric threads. Not sure why you rule out the CZ when you like a BBK 02.
