Savage 110 mag box removal

Anyone know how to remove the sheet metal mag box on a 2 year old Savage 110 without deforming it?

I usually just take a glue clamp and press it down. If you then "pop" it with some extra pressure, it'll come out.

It's not that hard. However, don't ask me how to get it back in without deforming it. I'm still working on that..... HTH, Dutch.

Go to WWW.SavageShooters.com in their Technical Section they give step by step directions. I believe that it says to give it a sharp rap with a plastic mallet.
